Favourite season :)

The best season for me is the summer! It is a time to rest from the routine of the year and to enjoy with friends and with the familia. I don´t have to travel many hours every day on the subway to go to school :/ traveling by subway is terrible! While in summer I have many hours to do what I want. In summer the weather is sunny and pleasant,  I do not like the cold winter, I hate the cold! because I do not feel like leaving the house .. In winter I just want to be in my bed. But summer is very different J I can travel. I love going to the beach and spend many fun times with my boyfriend, friends and family. My favorite part of the day at this time of year is the nights. I definitely love summer nights. It is very important to mention that when my family travels during this time, I can meet with family and friends I can not see for the rest of the year because they live far from my house and it is impossible to visit them when I'm in college. 

Summer = fun, freedom and tranquility. Definitely I love the summer :D

Hairstyle

For me, the hair is a very important issue because I think is a beautiful part that people have, especially women. I try to always take care of my hair I spend a long time fixing it. When I have to go somewhere important I can take a few minutes on my makeup but I can take over an hour fixing my hair. I think that you can be very badly dressed, but if your hair is nice and shiny you'll be Ok . I cut and care my hair thanks to my mom because she teached me to do this. I hate going to hairdressing because here never leave my hair as I want  :/ , and always they cut much more than I wanted to cut. When I was little I did not think the same one day I wanted to cut my hair very short, I always had long hair, so my mom took me to the hairdresser but the woman who served me did not want to cut my hair, she said me that my hair was very nice to do this, actually now I think it was my mom who asked to hairdresser that not cut my hair because my mom always liked my hair long ¬¬ :P

Hey Arnold!

Certainly when I was little cartoons were very different from the ones you watch nowadays. Before cartoons were more innocent now its show a lot of violence. My favourite cartoon is "Hey Arnold!” it is an American animated television series created by Craig Bartlett. When I was child I always watched the TV channel Nickelodeon, and Arnold was one of its most famous cartoons.

I do not remember the exact age I was when I started to watch Arnold, but it was many years ago. Sometimes I want to watch the program again and I do it online. I remember that I liked watching the show with my cousin Sebastian, sometimes we spent hours watching it. Even Nickelodeon repeated the same chapters during a week and we watched these again. :D I think I've watched all the chapters!

I liked watching Arnold for all its chapters were very fun and because the stories reflected what we lived with my childhood friends. Each character has similarities to some of my friends. The best thing about it was the main character Arnold :P I loved his personality. He was always very honest and intelligent. He always was looking for ways to solve problems to help his particular family and dear friends. Today, I still like its stories and whenever I have time I watch Hey Arnold!

                               

Technology

Today, technology have advantages and disadvantages in our lives. When we want to communicate with friends or our family we need the technology. People use intertet for all things. And all people have cellphones, we can see children of seven years using cellphones. Personally, I am not a fanatic of the technology because I thing that don´t help in the family communication. People spend less time with the family and more hours in front of computers. But,my favourite piece of technology has to be my cellphone. I always use my cellphone all day! and is very important for me.

This picture was took for me :). It shows a beautiful landscape of southern Chile. Specifically, this peacutre was took in Iloca when I was visiting the lake Vichuquén, best known as the town of witches. I was in this place with my boyfriend. This was last year, during winter holidays. First, I really like this picture because I was spending a good time with my boyfiend. Also, the picture have beautiful colors from native.

Ireland

I would go to Ireland. I've always loved this country I like its wonderful landscapes which are full of nature.

Last year I watched a story in a television program where a family went to spend some days to Ireland, but they fell in love with the place and decided to stay longer. The parents got jobs and they chose to stay forever here. The family's parents arrived with two children and they had their third child in this country. With the history of this family I have more reasons for to travel and see this beautiful country. 

I would like to visit this place, to see all the historical sites and meet the beautiful castles that are there. And if I feel comfortable here I would like to work in that place, because in the story that I watched, the father of the family said that all the jobs are highly paid but life here is expensive.

It is certainly an adventure I want to live someday!

Mythology

In our country there are many mythological stories, especially in southern Chile. My aunt from Chiloé always tells me most popular stories. One that I draw much attention is the story of Trauco.

It is a dwarf who lives in the forest, its height does not exceed 80 cm.

Despite being tiny, has great muscle development and appearance of a giant. Carry a stone ax with which he is able to shoot down any tree, with only three hits, no matter how hard it is.

Hates men with a single breath, and he can leave them with mouth twisted or condemned to die in short term. His behavior with women is different, is characterized as a lovesick. Despite his gruesome appearance arouses in women an irresistible attraction. For those women who resist, the Trauco can provoke erotic dreams on them. So, the most beautiful girls in his arms fall rendered.

It usually causes fear, by their presence, in the woods and is the apology to be given some young unmarried pregnant.

It is a very interesting story and the best thing that it is of our country!

concerts !!!

In my life I have attended about seven concerts, but always I remember when I went to see the "Prisioneros". I do not remember how old I was but I was little. I went with my two brothers and my sister who was pregnant. It was a great night, full of emotions. I remember that because my brothers spent all day listening to the songs of this band, I learned all the songs and sang them like them. I had fun and so far I have not managed to live the same experience because in the other concerts that I have attended I have not felt such excitement and joy of being in a place with many people who share a taste in music. 

Working

I would like to work in a television program where it shows places around the world, and I be the person traveling to different countries :P. It would be fun! know different cultures and be able to join them for a few days, eat different foods, using different costumes and have fun with things very different to things to exist in our country. It would be great to visit places with beautiful scenery, and discover the flora and fauna of other parts of the world. But the best is that they pay me to do that! I would really like to send me to travel with people close to me, each week a different people. My boyfriend, a friend or family member could accompany me so that they too can go through all these adventures.

I would like to send me two weeks to each place, and then spend in Chile a month with my family. It would be perfect if I do not feel comfortable in the place that I'm visiting they can return me to our country soon.

No doubt this would be the best job in the world!

TV Show

T.V show? The true is that I don´t spend time watching TV. But one of my favorite series is Dr. House. Before, I did not like Dr. House because many people saw the series when it started to broadcast on Chilean television. But my aunt Edith is a fan of it series and I always go to sleep her home. Sometimes, when I saw that she was laughing and even crying with Dr. House series. So, one day I decided to watch a chapter which caught my attention and the next day saw another and so on. I've seen all series and I love all the chapters because all these have different emotions and spectacular endings. For people who do not know about Doctor House is an American television medical drama. The debut was on November 16, 2004 in Fox network. The main character is Dr. Gregory House who isn't a normal person. He is a genius.

It's a Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life is my favourite movie, it is an American Christmas drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra, that was based on the short story "The Greatest Gift", written by Philip Van Doren Stern. This movie is about an angel helps a compassionate but despairingly frustrated businessman by showing what life would have been like if he never existed. This is a really beautiful film and it shows the importance of friendship in the life of a person. It also teaches us that we all have goals and reasons why we are experiencing, because many times we do not realize how important we are to people around us. Sometimes, we think that we do not do anything right and we are very alone. In this movie the main character learns that everything in life helps us, either good or bad experiences. The true is that whenever I can or I feel sad I like to see this film. Also I try to show it to all my friends who want to see this.

                                          

The Clash

A culture clash is the feeling of surprise or confusion caused by the contact between a person and a totally different social environment, such as when we are visiting another country.


An example of this is when Americans travel to Asia or reverse happens. This week I saw a story on a program television where they featured a man who traveled to Easter Island, the idea is to show what the islanders think about Chilean people who visit your island because they consider not part Chile. The man showed how the islanders do not have a good opinion of us, because they think that a person who was not born on the island this person shouldn´t live there. They believe that people who are going to live on the island have damaged their culture and ideals of other people are against their history.

Music in my life

When I first started listening to the music I like now I was 18 years old. I like listening the music that makes me feel good for example the band Coldplay. The songs of this band help me to concentrate when I have to study or think about different things. One that my favorite singer is Robby Williams and in special his song “Feel” I really like this song!!! The music is important when I feel sad or I´m tired because with good music I can feel better and relax. Whit the music I can forget problems, but can spend a long time for that I want to listen to music. In same case I prefer spend time reading books or watching films. However, I think that the music is wonderful and is very important in our lives, some songs can create in my feelings that nothing else. Music can awaken all our senses. For me is a good way to express what I feel. Also, I use music for spend good moments with my friends because I love dancing to good music  .

Bilingualism..

  First, bilingualism is the ability to speak two languages. In some countries people are born bilingual. An example of bilingual country is Canada, here people speak English and French. However in other places is important to learn another language, for instance in Chile if you are bilingual you can get a better job.

When a person knows two languages has the easy to communicate with others. Also, exercising memory helps improve attentional skills.

Children can learn two languages easily. Unlike, adults who have difficulty learning a second language because will be difficult to learn different words and spelling rules. Experts say that hearing two languages during pregnancy helps children to be bilingual.

In our country there are few that use a language other than Spanish, because in many schools do not teach English well. However, the country needs to create professionals who manage the English language, therefore have created innovative projects to grow the number of bilingual people. An example is the program of the Mineduc "Inglés abre puertas".

Writing...

I like writing because I can express all my emotions and feelings. When I write I can develop my ideas more clearly. At the same time, writing I can see my spelliing mistakes and and I must express ideas with logic and consistency. So, I must try harder. Unlike when I speak in English that I can make more mistakes. 




Write in English will be easier o harder depending of the topics, for example will be easier to write an essay or to give an opinion about simples topics as environmental or family, and will be hard to write about politics o medicine. 


I have written essays in my mother tongue and it was difficult. I think that in English is even more complicated because an essay mustn´t repeat words. So, I must learn many synonyms.


I hope to learn to express my ideas and opinions, learn new words and learn to write essays in English.
